3.30pm. The bag hits the floor. "I'm hungry." Every single day.
Biscuits are easy. But a few days a week, I try one of these instead.
Ten-minute ideas
- Sweet corn chaat: corn, lemon, a pinch of salt and chaat masala.
- Peanut butter banana toast, cut into strips.
- Makhana roasted in a little ghee with salt. Makes a big bowl in five minutes.
- Cheese and cucumber "sandwiches", no bread.
- Paneer cubes tossed with a pinch of chaat masala.
- Fruit with a yogurt dip.
Make-ahead, once a week
- A tray of baked banana oat bites.
- Roasted chana in a jar.
- Frozen yogurt drops on a plate, in the freezer.
None of these are perfect. That's fine. The goal was "not another biscuit", not "a nutritionist's dream".
